Cloud 18 travels to Busan for KISS 2019, the Eleventh Annual Kyma International Sound Symposium. We explore this year's theme of Resonance through concerts, lively discussions, presentations and hands-on workshops. The symposium is organized by the Daedong College, Dept. of New Music, Dankook University, Dept. of New Music, Busan Metropolitan City and Symbolic Sound.

Cloud 18 joins a thriving community of composers, sound designers, performers and Kyma enthusiasts at KISS 2018, the Tenth Annual Kyma International Sound Symposium. This year's theme is Altered States (and Ecosystems). The symposium is organized by the Music Department at the University of Santa Cruz and Symbolic Sound.
12 - 15 October 2017, Oslo (Norway)
The Norwegian Academy of Music, University of Oslo Department of Musicology, NOTAM and Symbolic Sound invites Cloud 18 to join Kyma luminaries at KISS 2017, the Ninth Annual Kyma International Sound Symposium, and explore the theme Augmenting Reality. Cloud 18 performs a piece titled Wounded Galaxies Tapping At The Window and presents on the project.

Aside from performing with improv super group Emergent Ensemble,
Işıkyakar also presents on a work titled The World So Wide, its conception emerging from the collaborative synergy of three artists: İlker Işıkyakar (percussion and Kyma), Timuçin Şahin (double neck guitar), and E. Zoe Schutzman (narration). The piece is inspired by Harikatha, a form of ancient South Indian storytelling tradition. Click on the image to view the video of the presentation.
